Tears freeze creating prisms
shattered into sharp rainbows
that dance inside my lids
blush first rose then bleed red
as blues play from someplace
only in my mind
they are only an illusion
as are the lips I feel pressed
to my closed eyes as I pray
only for the dark of sleep.
