I am fortunate.
For I have seen colors brighter than the spectrum~
Dazzling, breathtaking~
Richly alive in pattern, awash in beauty.
I have seen landscapes laid out for my eyes alone~
Surreal, vivid~
Diverse grounds where no one else may tread.
I have gained awareness of my world and my place in it~
Heightened, richer~
Able to notice the finer things once taken for granted.
Beyond the threshold, I have learned
Patience
Compassion
Tolerance
Appreciation
Wonder
I am fortunate indeed
