feline haze
by Teresa Ramos

these days i have a lot in common with my cat
i feel like napping all the time
if i am not napping,
i am eating, or stretching a bit, playing a bit,
it is wonderful for the weekend,
though i don't get much of anything done,
and come monday morning it takes a big effort to
get myself together and go to work
i feel like when i take my kittie to the vet,
and she cries and meows and moans and carries on
it is a big inner struggle to drag myself out of my feline haze
and join the human race and function at work all week
i can't wait to get home and curl up
and cradle my achy migraine head and be a cat again!
