Coping
by Paula Krueger

Missing out on the joys of spring,
not being able to stand the telephone ring.
I sit in the dark with she shades closed
so the light will not make my head explode.

Unless you have these amazing pains in your head
it is hard to know how much one can dread
getting up, dressed and on your way
when there is no energy to get through the day.

When you are a parent who is needed so much
and you cannot read stories and such,
it is hard to explain why you can't cope
to a little one so full of hope.

There are things around now that can help you try
to ease the tears from that awful cry.
Do some research, don't give up hoping.
Keep trying your options, there are ways of coping.
