Another Day Another Migraine
by Marjorie Farrington

Under a blanket to keep out the light
The end of this pain is nowhere in sight
Sharp pain makes my head pound
I crawl under my pillow to block out
sound
Oh, please God make this pain go away
There's no help, doctors won't listen
to what I say
I long for the life without pain
To live without fear of the next
migraine
This time there comes little relief
I feel myself filled with so much grief
The person I was is gone
The life I want to live cannot be
I sit here with both fear and hope
of what life holds for me
